New York gets a stiletto run - the High Heel-a-thon

Last week, New York had its first stiletto run - an annual event in Europe where women race each other from the start line to the finish line in high heels - called the High Heel-A-Thon. Sponsored by Live with Regis and Kelly and Dr Scholls, over 500 people donated money to the March of Dimes charity for the chance to participate in (what would have been a rather painful) 150 yard dash for the chance to win $25,000. With heels needing to be at least 3" high, it's a wonder women were able to stay on their feet!
