Instead of the cutesy, Blair-Waldorf inspired bows we've been used to seeing on everything from shoes to sweaters recently, Alexander McQueen has gone with a big, floppy bow for these leather ankle boots. It makes them a little less twee and a lot more sophisticated than would otherwise have been the case, and I like the deep brown colour, too. These are £550 at Net-a-Porter.
