Dior's cutout heel wedges - more strange shoes!
I'm starting to think we're going to need a whole new category here soon for "shoes with unusual heels". This has become such a trend lately, and while Miu Miu and Prada are still leading the field, they're not the only ones to succumb to the lure of the Slightly Strange Stiletto, as these cutout wedges by Dior prove.
I think "wedge" is something of a misnomer, here. This isn't so much a wedge as it's a stiletto that's been connected to the front of the shoe. I don't think they'd give as much support as a proper wedge (although you never know), but they're definitely more inventive. Whether they're nice enough for you to want to buy them is another matter, of course. If you do, they're $925 at Neiman Marcus.
