Giuseppe Zanotti's Tricolor satin wedges

anotti-clear-wedges.jpgI think this is definitely one of the better uses of perspex on a heel I've seen. We all know that clear plastic heels can have something of a "lady of the night" quality about them (to put it politely), but with these Tricolor satin wedges, Giuseppe Zanotti has used the perspex to create the illusion of a wedge heel that's curved at an angle that would be totally impossible to stand up in. Of course, it isn't, but I bet anyone wearing these would get a few strange looks before people realised what was going on.

These are £470 at Net-a-Porter, which describes them as "a conversation starter". They got that right...
