Whilst reading Kate Schelter's 'Top Six Shoe Trends For Fall 2008' on The Huffington Post, I couldn't help but agree - the time has definitely come for the statement shoe to takeover from the it-bag.
Check out these unbelievable silver pumps designed by Sergio Rossi. Not only doesn't look like a muppet might have perished for the cause, they will, as Schelter attests, stop traffic. That is, if PETA doesn't catch up with you first. Made from python and fox, they currently retail for US$1,095 via Sergio Rossi's website.
