Oh my giddy aunt. If you've been reading this column for a while, you've probably worked out by now that I'm not exactly fond of shoes with huge rubber soles. These shoes have done nothing to change that opinion. They're by Yves St. Laurent, and I'm sad to say this is just one style of the "huge rubber sole" variety that YSL are bringing to us this year - a move which is all the more remarkable when you consider that this is the same brand that brought us the beautiful Tribute shoes.
Will these 'Trooper' pumps become as big a hit a the Tributes? I think it's probably safe to say "oh hell no!" to that, but if you think I'm wrong and want to buy a pair of these for yourself, they're $595 at Saks.
