Alexander McQueen's button-trim ankle boots

Buttons. I've talked before about how much I love them on footwear, so it will come as no surprise that I've been doing some serious gushing this week over these Alexander McQueen button ankle boots. These are more or less my ideal ankle boots, except... wait: is that a steel toe cap? I think it is. Well, uh, other than the steel toe cap, which seems kinda pointless on this style of shoe, these are my ideal ankle boots.

I love them for the sleek, elegant shape, the slender stiletto heel and, of course, the buttons. I don't love them for the £780 price tag, but hey, I guess we can't have everything. If you can have these, you can get them from Net-a-Porter.
