This kind of chunky sandal can look great during the autumn when worn with a pair of thick opaque tights, and if you want to bring the look up to date, you can always choose a pair in a contrasting colour. The metallic stars on the front are actually pretty cute, and the gold trim helps to dress the shoe up. These are £50, and have a 4.5" heel, which is a lot higher than it looks in the picture!
