Gola teams up with Christian Lacroix for new trainer range

Sportswear label, Gola, has collaborated with Christian Lacroix on a range of women's and men's trainers. The Gola by Christian Lacroix collection has been inspired by the French designer's signature 'Torero Cape' pattern, incorporating features such as rich leather, embroidery, and embossed fabric. "In a way, trainers are to the 21st century what shimmering ties and multicoloured vests were to the dandies of the 19th century - a distinctive sign, a personal signature," said Lacroix. The shoes will hit stores January, 2009.
