At the arrival of those Manolo Blahnik blue satin stilettos worn by Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City: the movie at Bergdorf's last Friday, the man himself said:

"They asked us for a shoe, we made 14 pairs and sent them off, and they never told us which one they were using or what role the shoe would play in the film. I think this may be the most famous shoe in the world. I had no idea any of this would happen."

As for what he thought of the film...

"I don't know. I haven't seen it. I think I'll go tomorrow."
