Patchwork reminds of the movie, How to make an American quilt, when each patch told a story that was significant to each of the women putting the quilt together. So when I see these Stuart Weitzman patchwork leather 'Melange' pumps, I'm not loving the look. Not that I'm knocking the structure and idea before the design. The combination of metallics and faix snakeskin certainly come together into a nice stylish shoe, but if the patwork doesn't have a story to tell, then it just looks like a mishmash of patterns.
