Another month another stiletto run, it seems that 2008 are full of them. The most recent stiletto run took place earlier this week in Sydney, Australia where 265 women ran the 80 metre track in 3 inch heels to win AUD$50,000. The record breaking run (for the most racers - the previous record of 150 runners was held by Holland) was won by a professional hurdler, Brittney McGlone, who streaked ahead of the track. But the rest of the pack wasn't so successful, a few competitors tumbled in their heels with quite a few needing bandaging on scraped knees and hands. Of course what I found most amusing is the footage of the poor girls tumbling - it's not all glamour and glitz after all.
