Wow. The setting may have been the New York catwalk, but the shoes from Marc Jacobs S/S 09 collection have a rather other-worldly feel about them, as if they've just stepped straight from the pages of a fairytale. The stand-out shoes were these sparkly blue sandals, which have an tie front and an unusual lip on the heel which gives them that slightly surreal feel Marc Jacobs is so good at creating in his footwear. The rest of the collection was equally delicate and unusual, with the exception of some toweringly high espadrilles which wound up to the knee and were worn with silk knee high socks!
