BCBGirls 'Kevin' boots

I know patent leather is "so hot right now", just like over the knee boots. But every time I see a pair, it reminds of the pair Julia Roberts wears when she first meets Richard Gere in Pretty Woman - you know, when she asks if he's like a pink, blue or yellow one. So understandably I have never been a fan, even though Anne Hathaway rocked a fabulous pair of Chanel over the knee boots in Devil Wears Prada, I just can't get the Pretty Woman scene out of my head. But as a compromise, to myself, I might attempt this patent leather boot trend with these BCBGirls Kevin boots which are 80% suede and 20% patent leather, used more so as a contrast trim along the top of the boot and the toe. A sleek shoe, they also feature lace up detail at the back, finished off with two tassels. Not a bad pick up for $145, and they don't remind me of Pretty Woman ;)
