Francesco Russo named new creative director at Sergio Rossi

Sergio Rossi named a new creative director this week - Francesco Russo.

The designer takes over the reins from Edmundo Castillo, who recently presented his final collection at the spring/summer '09 shows. Russo will now be in charge of women's and men's footwear, handbags and accessories.

Of their new recruit, the brand's president and chief executive officer, Didier Bonnin said that he was "certain that, with his experience and talent, Francesco Russo will enhance the essence of the brand in all its product categories and will contribute to grow [its] success."
