Gap Designer Edition heeled desert boot

Oh my goodness, can you believe Gap are selling these desert boots as part of their limited-edition collection? Actually, can you believe Gap gave desert boots a heel? Who knows what the shoe designers were thinking when they came up with these, but I would never be seen in them. Made from 100% suede, they remind me of a pair of ultra daggy shoe from the 1990s, so bad that I've blocked them out of my memory until now. Like a classic work wear shoe (if you work in a more natural environment than say an office worker) these shoes certainly challenge me in what to pair them with. Would you wear them with tights and a short skirt? Jeans and a t-shirt? I can't see these shoes selling out fast, but would love to see who is buying them.
