Heel-raisers: Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin increase their maximum heights

It looks like skyscrapers are here to stay.

According to Fashionologie, two of the world's leading shoe designers Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin are raising their maximum heel height. For over 20 years, Blahnik has never exceeded five inches... until now. This year he will increase his maximum height to six inches. Likewise, Louboutin is increases his maximum height from seven inches to a whopping eight inches.

"I hear they can be painful, but women keep asking for them," said Louboutin.

Point taken.
