I'm not normally a fan of metal-heeled stilettos - I think the metal has the power to cheapen almost any shoe, and when the shoes in question cost $971, "cheap" is the last thing you're going to want them to look!
In the case of Dsquared2's 'Piercing' pumps, though, I think the heel works: well, when the front of the shoe has spiked silver balls on it, the back has to compete somehow, doesn't it? These aren't to my taste personally, but they will help you work a bit of a punk look, without having to sacrifice the high heels. Get them at Zappos Couture.
