The Tie Back Ankle Boots by Patricia Field for Marks & Spencer

What do you get when you ask costume designer Patricia Field to design a womenswear range to be released not long after the Sex and the City film hits screens and causes a fashion frenzy around the world? Yep, you get clothes (and shoes) 'loosely inspired' by Carrie and co. - from the one shoulder corsage dress to the studded belt to *those* Dior gladiator sandals which have been copied from here to eternity.

I like that these ankle boots take inspiration from those heels, but still have their own identity and look totally different. You can still pair them with the Carrie-esque prom frocks and body-con shift dresses for a similar effect. They're £69 and available from today from M&S.
