Nothing quite says understanded elegance more than a pair of strappy black sandals.
Luckily this pair from Miss Selfridge have been updated with a modern touch so as not to fall into the 'boring but staple' category. I'm digging the thick black croc-like layered double straps and bronze studs. It is heavy like a gladiator but with a heel it can be easily worn to the office or that after-five soiree. They retail for £45.
