Gold by Giles Deacon for New Look - new shoes now available!
"You are gold! Gold! Always believe in your sooouuullll...." Whoops, sorry: it's almost the end of the week, you see, and every time I look at Giles Deacon's 'Gold' collection for New Look, this song pops into my head. Eighties music associations aside, though, the shoes Deacon has created for his latest collection are really quite impressive. Sadly, there's only three different styles to choose from, but as far as I'm concerned, everyone's a winner, baby, that's the truth. (Sorry. I'll stop now.)
The metallic stilettos (£35) have a bit of a rocky feel to them, courtesy of that double ankle straps, while the corsage stilettos (also £35) are a little bit retro. One more pic under the jump....
These pointed lace shoes are almost as 80s as Spandau Ballet themselves, but that's OK, not just because the 80s are almost permanently in fashion right now, but because lace is very much "of the moment" too. They're £25, which is a pretty good price for a Giles Deacon shoe, no?
