Take a close look at the shoes you see before you. Nice, aren't they? Everything from the curved wedge heels to the little peep toe and the shiny black patent... but wait. That's not actually patent, is it? No, it's vinyl. And that's the point where I stop in my tracks and find myself wondering if I really like them after all.

These are by Melissa, who are well known for their quirky, plastic and vinyl shoes (and for their recent collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, no less). I love the shape of these by the vinyl puts me off, a little, and would probably prevent me paying £50 for them. If you would. though, you can get them at Topshop.
