If I could have any shoes I wanted, I wouldn't go straight for the Louboutins: I'd be putting in an order for a pair of Sui Generis shoes without a moment's hesitation. And while that's unlikely to happen any time soon, I always get excited when the label announces a new range.
Apart from the price tag, it is difficult to fault Sui Generis, with their glamorous '30s-inspired styling and outstanding ethical credentials. And when you consider that every pair is hand made in England, with a choice of fabrics to suit any occasion, the expense seems entirely justified, and perfect as a one-off treat. These 'Saphire' courts with patent trim and jewel detail grabbed me mostly because of the fabric, which can be ordered bespoke. £399 at Beyond Skin
