River Island's tartan rosette court shoes

The tartan invasion of the high street continues apace, and I don't know about you, but when it comes to very bright tartans, I think feet tend to be the best place to wear them. That's possibly why these red tartan heels by River Island are looking so good to me right now: I've said before that tartan isn't my favourite print in the world, but I'm slowly coming around to it, and these are a more wearable (not to mention less expensive) version of the tartan platforms Dsquared2 showed at Milan Fashion Week back in February.

I like them, and think they'd be a great way to inject a bit of fun and fashion into something like a grey shift dress or other block-coloured outfits. They're £59.99.
