Vena Cava unveils Viva Spiga collection in New York

venacava_vivaspigaunveiled.jpgLisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, the design duo behind Vena Cava launched their first footwear collection for Viva Spiga in New York last week.

It is the first time that the designers have used their skills to create shoes, which were first spotted on the runway at New York Fashion Week. They were inspired by the 'Egyptomania' for their debut spring/summer '09 collection, which consists of lace up pumps, platform mules and strappy sandals. The range is expected to retail between $300 and $850 and will sell via the Viva Spiga website, and its new flagship store in New York's Soho district. [via Vogue.com]
