Bertie patent lace-up shoe boots

There's something delightfully simple about these patent shoe boots from Bertie, but for me they're strangely evocative, too: they remind me a bit of the 'jazz shoes' I used to wear at school, brought up to date with a chunky heel and high-gloss finish.
