Nicholas Kirkwood, bless him and his shoe-designing genius, might have pronounced the death of the skyscraper heel but I think (and hope) we still have a little while longer to wear some extreme shoes.
These wedge sandals by ASOS Premium aren't nearly as high as Kirkwood's deadly 6-inch heel runway creations, but are still dramatic (and high) enough to be a nice compromise. The grey (pictured) is a great light shade for summer, but they're also available in black for something which might be more versatile. They're £69 from ASOS.
