Paris Couture Week has kicked off in elegant style on Sunday. John Galliano's wild imagination was once again allowed to take over in Christian Dior's spring/summer '09 collection.
Footwear were brightly coloured, featuring lots of laces and sculptured heels. Inspired by Flemish paintings, such as Vemeer, it was less of the hard edged footwear we have seen in recent years, and more soft decadence.
