The words "slingback loafers" pretty much strike fear into my beating heart, but these are much nicer than the description suggests, and the fact that they come in either bright red or bright blue suede just makes them all the more perfect ror summer. These come with the requisite platform sole, a 14cm heel, and they're £40 from New Look's limited collection. I think they'd look great with tailored shorts, or anything vaguely nautical looking - and as we know, there's always a whole lot of "nautical" around in the warmer months of the year.
