Ugly Shoe of the Week
Well, these are certainly different, aren't they? Just not in a good way, as far as I'm concerned. It's not even the bizarre boot/sandal crossover that bothers me here, it's that wooden sole, which is both flat and raised at the same time, which makes me think these would give you a really flat-footed walk. Then there's the fact that the toe protrudes out over the sole. Then there's the $435 price tag. No, these have nothing to recommend them to me, I'm afraid, but if something about them is calling to you, they're by Chie Mihara, and they're available at Saks.
