Things took a dramatic turn at the Alexander McQueen show in Paris this week. The British designer bucked the trend to tone down his creations for the sake of the economy, and instead went all out. Sequins were chained together on top of crazy high platforms - disco knight, perhaps? Other embellishments included embroidery and spikes. I'm not sure who would be daring enough to try a pair, but good on McQueen for letting his imagination run wild. [Images via Style.com]
