While I absolutely adore Stella McCartney's clothing designs, I am still to decide how I feel about her shoes. There's no questioning the designs - these rivet embellished boots, for example, are pretty good-looking numbers.
What I do wonder is how Stella shoe fans can justify the kind of insane price tags for "suede-effect" and "leather-look" since the designer so famously eschews leather. I can buy suede-effect down at Primark for a tenner and sew a few rivets on, too... so am I missing something here? Anyone care to share their insights? And yep, these are a hefty £545 from Net-a-Porter.
