Statement shoes from Nina Hjorth

Statement heels aren't quite out of the picture yet according to Danish designer Nina Hjorth, who's just launched a taster of her forthcoming collection to widespread acclaim from the fashion press.

The Royal College of Art graduate and former freelancer for Nicholas Kirkwood is to unveil a capsule collection she's designed for Kurt Geiger next month. I'll be watching with interest to see how her bold, angular designs translate into a high street range, but since KG have been on such an experimental tip recently, I can them giving the designer free reign to let her imagination run riot. I particularly love the high-gloss pink ankle boots with their mini zip and am expecting to see some neat variations on this style for Autumn/Winter.
