Christopher Kane revives Versus for Versace: Check out the shoes!

After unveiling a range of accessories last season for Versace's revived Versus line, Christopher Kane has just added a womenswear and (more!) shoes to his spring 2010 collection.

Collaborating with Donatella Versace, it's obvious who Kane has taken inspiration from... erm, Liz Hurley's iconic 1994 safety pin dress, anyone? In footwear, he has incorporated burnt orange colours, chain detailing, and brushed metal. Apparently the only flat shoes were a pair of Chelsea boots, in a similar style to Kane's last Versus collection.

  • Hmm I liked the clothes collection for Versus more than I like the shoes.... I also thought the shapes Christopher used in this collection were quite similar those in his latest own collection shown in London. Not necessarily a bad thing, I am often surprised how designers can create completely different collections for their different labels - it's almost as if they don't believe in their own aesthetic. I did like the shoes for the last collection though!
