London designer Kat Maconie is at the forefront of this low-heeled revolution, and we're loving her style at the moment. Taking fashion forward motifs such as nautical knots, Egyptian-style snakes, studs and references to Chanel, her current range is seriously hot to trot. It's available in a few achingly cool boutiques around the UK, as well as in Peter Jones and Harvey Nichs. Prices start at around £80
