Checking out Debenhams' 'Good for the Sole' range recently, I was struck by the madness of the seemingly impossible task of designing comfotable shoes that look great, too.
GFTS is one of a few ranges attempting the unlikely marriage of comfort and style - and it succeeds pretty well considering that most of its shoes are below the £30 mark. But why is this such a rarity that a special range has to be made? Shouldn't all stylish shoes all be made - you know - wearable? Or is the whole 'suffer to be beautiful' mentailty just too firmly entrenched in footwear?
What do you think? And which labels (stylish ones, I mean - good heavens, I don't mean the sort that LOOK comfortable) do you find to make the most comfortable shoes?
Good for the Sole purple t-bar courts are £28 from Debenhams
