New website allows you to copy Cheryl Cole's style
Remember when Cheryl Cole was a little bit...chavvy? Scraped back ponytail, pointy heels and combats combos and a certain reported attack on a toilet attendant were the kind of things that used to get Cheryl, then Cheryl Tweedy, into the papers.
Those days are long gone, and the outfits have been replaced with thick hair extensions, chic dresses and killer heels. Cheryl's style on X Factor is so in demand that a website has been created to help people copy her style.
The site, CherylColeStyle, holds pages and pages of her outfits including several pages purely devoted to her footwear at the auditions. These Alexander Wang 'Lara' Combat Ankle boots are the ones Cheryl wore for her performance of Fight for this Love last week.
The site also offers shoppers the chance of buying an alternative option of the footwear Cheryl wears, at a lower price for a more modest budget. They've picked out these black sewn leather/textile ankle boots from Faith at Debenhams as an alternative to the Alexander Wang shoes she performed in. Priced at £95 they're almost a tenth of the £800 price tag the other style had.
In theory it's a good gimmick, and doesn't harm Cheryl's reputation particularly as it's more of a dedication to her then anything she's directly involved in. I do wonder how long a site like this can survive long term, particularly as there seems to be a bit of a change in the mood towards Ms Cole.
