The weather has not been kind to us UK-dwellers this week, and the bad news is that rain doesn't care whether you're pounding the streets in £5 Peacocks' pumps or strutting your stuff in £500 Louboutins: tidemarks are tidemarks whatever the label.

One footwear loving celeb who found this out the hard way was seen making a run for it in the street yesterday, as she tried to minimise the damage to her red-soled treasures en route to work. Can you guess who it is? Answer after the jump

It's Helen Flanagan from Coronation Street, who was seen making a run for cover at Granada studios yesterday. Helen looks like she's just had that realisation the happens to even the best-prepared of us during a downpour: that umbrellas just don't work! They'll protect your hair if you're lucky, but lord help your feet.

I wonder if anyone's every tried to design an umbrella for shoes...
