Winter Kate: Nicole Richie's new footwear and womenswear range to launch January 2010

winter-kate.jpgCelebrity-designed products are always a hit and miss affair, but it's fair to say that Nicole Richie's House of Harlow 1960 has been a resounding style success. Bold, simple and not remotely bling, it oozes quality without any of the trashiness we tend to associate with 'sleb fashion.

So it's good to see that Richie is branching out, with a brand new clothes and footwear collection called Winter Kate. The range, which will include the shoes pictured here, is launching in the UK in January, when it will be available to buy from My-Wardrobe.com

winter-kate-shoes.jpgFeaturing an eclectic mix of heels, moccasin boots, wedges and flat sandals, it's easy to see the progression from the geometric jewellery in House of Harlow to the clean cut styles of Winter Kate's footwear collection. Richie said of her nascent range: "Fashion should be accessible. That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate. I started working on this collection in early 2009, the pieces can be dressed up, made casual but most importantly, they provide the wearer a means of self-expression and fun."

I got a sneak peak at the entire line, and its GORGEOUS! Feathers, jewels, beads. There wasn't a single one I disliked.
