Trend Alert: chunky platforms a la Kurt Geiger's 'Haruko'
Believe it or not, fashion is going to start using words like 'funky' and 'chunky' once again next season. Yup, platforms are going to be big news, and the clumpier they are, the better. It's not an easy prospect to embrace, but trust me, it's gonna happen. So why not ease yourself gently into the future with a pair of KG platforms that definitely sum up the look?
Clog-style shoes feature in many of the big designers' spring/summer 2010 ranges, and these are built up around that basic, traditional shape. They're made a whole lot more streetwise with the addition of those studded front-panels, though, and the use of exotic-style leather. Both are neutral in tone and should see you right through into the coming season.
'Haruko' is available in two styles and costs £160 at Kurt Geiger.
