The last few days have been almost comically cold here in London, and I have to admit that most evenings, I'm throwing aside all dignity in the name of warmth and slippers. My current pair are some rather embarrassing (though blessedly warm) thick bedsocks, but fearing I may one day have to answer the door like that, I'm keen to smarten up my slippers.
