Designer vs...deseigner? Sam Edelman vs. Nicholas Kirkwood

Celeb favourite Sam Edelman's latest offering (it's the one on the left, in case you were wondering) looks mighty like a certain design by Nicholas Kirkwood. I've no idea if they two design heavyweights are friends, but there's certainly a degree of 'homage' going on here that I suspect a lot of high street labels would not get away with!

If you like this particular style which (admittedly) is a little more muted than the Kirkwood shoe as well as being more suitable for winter wear, it's a fair bit cheaper too, so could suit a Kirkwood fan without the funds. £152 at My-Wardrobe

But, although very expensive, I always thought Sam Edelma was a copycat/inspired designer, like let´s say Steve Madden? The Zoe boots for example, are copies of a pair of Balenciagas?

The designer there copies everyone, it's unbelievable. She's been there from the beginning, but has no qualifications in shoe design.
