Designer vs...deseigner? Sam Edelman vs. Nicholas Kirkwood

'Ello ello ello...what's going on 'ere? Celeb favourite Sam Edelman's latest offering (it's the one on the left, in case you were wondering) looks mighty like a certain design by Nicholas Kirkwood. I've no idea if they two design heavyweights are friends, but there's certainly a degree of 'homage' going on here that I suspect a lot of high street labels would not get away with!

If you like this particular style which (admittedly) is a little more muted than the Kirkwood shoe as well as being more suitable for winter wear, it's a fair bit cheaper too, so could suit a Kirkwood fan without the funds. £152 at My-Wardrobe

There is no doubt that technology is the fastest evolving industry there is – period. If you realize for a moment that the world wide web itself has really only been in existence since the mid 1990’s, it is simply incredible where we are at today. But, although very expensive, I always thought Sam Edelma was a copycat/inspired designer, like let´s say Steve Madden? The Zoe boots for example, are copies of a pair of Balenciagas?
