We're loving these black and beige boots from Topshop, which have that high street trick of looking more expensive than they are down to a fine art. Perhaps it's their similarity to Vivienne Westwood's two-tone bondage boots (but without the crazy 'animal' toe).
Ankle boots with a bit of a twist on the normal styles are always handy wardrobe glue, and these shoes could be dressed up or down. A purchase you can justify as entirely sensible!
