lv-shoes.jpgDesigners really are having fun with catwalk footwear at the moment. I'm not sure I entirely approve of the direction all of them are going in (since when did shoes have to look like they were too big?) but it's good to see the usual boundaries of design being pushed a little.

These shoes from the Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton show are a great example of what's out there at the moment. They really do look like the bags but rendered in shoe form, which is precisely what LV would have wanted! Check out the puckered leather on the left-hand shoe, and the grosgrain glitter on the right - fantastic! I still don't quite know why they have to look two sizes too big though...
