Yay or Nay: Sandals with socks

elie-saab.jpgSandals with socks have been the biggest fashion no-no for longer than anyone can remember, but apparently, they're now the hottest thing since sliced bread. At least that's what you might think if you took runway fashion a little too literally.

Many designers, including Elie Saab (above) have featured the forbidden look in their shows, and the style is threatening to spill out on to our streets. Some may be pleased to hear this news: not everyone likes the feeling of leather against bare skin after all. But others may fear the crimes against fashion that may soon be going unchecked.

Those sheer socks are cute with those shoes, but they're not even sandals because the toes are closed. So I don't know. I think the answer is no.
