The trend for putting an almost industrial-looking tread on the bottom of sky high shoes and boots is one we can only approve of, so I'm glad to see this practical style return for another season in the spotlight.
Azzedine Alaia have ditched their usual trademark delicacy in favour of this no-nonsense style that looks much like a hiking boot if you can ignore that killer heel. We certainly can't, and we're already dreaming of boots like this providing a neat finishing touch to our camel and sheepskin combos this winter.
