Jessica Alba courted fashion controversy this weekend when she stepped out wearing a flirty little dress and a pair of what some have described as alarmingly chunky blue velvet shoes. The shoes, which we believe are by Yves Saint Laurent, are actually rather lovely in their own right (we think so, anyway!) but whether they were a wise choice with that dress is a matter for debate...
What do you think of this combo? We're thinking that the main thing about chunky shoes is that they demand a more robust outfit - maybe some heavier fabric, or even a more casual over-all look. Or are we missing out on a whole new trend here?
