Eager to keep up its reputation for dramatic, sculptural footwear, Prada made an impact on the the runway this fashion week with some seriously striking shoes. Platforms and heels walked together in perfect harmony at the colourful show, which featured orangeade coats and Louis-Vuitton style fluffy racoon tales in vibrant shades.

As in many of the season's collections, there was an emphasis on stripes and contrasting colours, as well as the odd flash of espadrille: a look that's not going anywhere for now. There was more than a salute to the nautical look, with the platform styles actually resembling boats, so it looks like that particular ship hasn't sailed just get either...
