Kurt Geiger hosted an absolute 'shoe spectacular' earlier in this week; a vivid and colourful insight into what we can expect to see on their shelves and on our feet in spring/summer 2011.The general theme is something of a 'birds of paradise' daydream, with a lot of feathers and tropical colours in the mix.

Carnival colours and glitter bring the flavours of summer to the fore, and the collection is ripe with bold, sometimes clashing colours. Wedges are bigger than ever before, and there are plenty of platform peep toes and seventies-inspired stacked sandals.

Alongside the wild colours and gravity-defying platforms, you'll also find plenty of summer staples, including nude T-bar flats, bleached-out espadrilles and lace-up pumps. But with such impressive pieces of shoe art elsewhere in the range, you might just miss them...

The collection will be available in stores from spring 2011
