There's a clever use of mesh in these daringly-high Brian Atwood pumps: up close you can tell that it's a fishnet fabric, but it appears to shimmer from a distance. This trompe l'oeil effect really adds a frisson to style that is already quite out-there, and creates a smart colour contrast.
The colour is neutral enough to be wearable with all sorts of colours, and while it would work like a dream with black or neutral shades, I'd love to see it teamed with red on the end of, say, Cheryl Cole's legs.
